Victory in the shadow of Mount Peevie

Well, what a game that was. Not only a superlative victory over Old Salesians but we were entertained by an early display of fireworks too as Peevie B erupted (again) in the closing minutes, ripped his shirt off and harumphed off the pitch breathing fire and brimstone. If it happened in America, they’d have declared him a National Park by now. What a geyser!

Bank crisis as ‘Chels go back in the black

[ March 22, 2009; 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. ] There were no bonuses for the bankers this weekend – in fact, they were left in the midst of a Great Depression, torn apart by a second-half performance with a high interest rate – easily our best of the season so far. Not only did we win in glorious autumn sunshine but we had the rare treat of all our ‘keepers turning out – Dave G, Craig, Tommy T, MKP and Wayne – a veritable conjunction of goalies that only comes about once every 300 years according to Statto, a bit like Haley’s Comet…

‘Chels fall victim to criminal stupidity…

In a callous and appalling  incident yesterday, a bunch of elderly gentlemen were mugged and left for dead, their egos battered and bruised and their self-respect a dim and distant memory.
