Dr Bellamy & Prof Belsham have raised some interesting questions regarding our current four-on-the-trot winning streak.  Here are the official stats:

  • The last time we managed four on the trot was Feb 2002
  • We have done five on the trot ten times; seven on the trot four times
  • Eleven on the trot (our record) in season 98/99
  • Ironically the last time we did 4 (2002) it would have been ten, only we drew with Brentham in the middle of the run
  • In fact, had we not lost 2-1 to Teddington a few weeks earlier, it would have been 15

Here’s that run of 11 games:

Date Opposition For Against
27-Dec-98 Bayers Chemicals 6 3
10-Jan-99 Japanese XI 7 1
17-Jan-99 Western Wanderers 5 2
24-Jan-99 LBS Alumni 3 0
07-Feb-99 Hampstead SC 6 1
14-Feb-99 Hanwell Strollers 3 2
21-Feb-99 London Hospitals 4 1
28-Feb-99 Bayers Chemicals 6 0
07-Mar-99 Popes Grove 7 0
14-Mar-99 Charterhouse Casuals 6 1
21-Mar-99 Marble Hill 9 1

Craig, we have managed 2 clean sheets in a row 15 times.  But only once ever have we bettered that, as follows:

Date Opposition For Against
08-Oct-95 The Brewers 6 0
15-Oct-95 Bayers Chemicals 4 0
22-Oct-95 London Hospitals 4

By ‘eck, we stuck a few in while we were keeping those clean sheets, eh?
